| Presentation | Guest Speaker Bernadette Rumo, principal at Captiva Salon and Spa Route One Yarmouth. They specialize in services for hair, skin, and nails, Bernadette provided cards with a full menu of services offered. Four years in business, this realized a lifelong dream for her to own her own Salon. They feature AVEDA products, and her assembled team of specialists is very strong. Not only do they offer standard salon services, the do makeup and hair for weddings and other events. |
| Discussion | We discussed developing a survey for members, as to what would attract more attendance and participation in NYBA. We suggested maybe trade show should be our main focus rather than regular meetings. It was mentioned that reminders ( same day or one day prior) are extremely helpful. How do we make our group more valuable, and bring more benefit to members? A shake up is needed at this point to bring in more involvement. Our next social meeting is Dec. 11, 2014. |
