| Discussion | Mary Conroy announced she must relinquish the Presidency position as of January, and discussion followed about election of new officers which is supposed to happen annually. Since bylaws allow for three terms in same position, Leslie and Marilyn will remain as Treas. and Secretary. Thad will check into amendment of bylaws to extend those terms. Mary and Marilyn will contact some members who potentially would assume Presidents role. More discussion on improving participation, Leslie suggested a combined meeting once per quarter or once per month where we all contact a friend to bring, or call another member to attend, and in the BNI model, each attendee has one minute to promote their business and state what a good lead is for them. Thad suggests we revamp the benefits for members, and refer back to our purpose which is to be a voice for small businesses in North Yarmouth. How can we have better effect on decisions made by Town. Leslie will contact Town Mgr. on what contacts we can develop for NYBA feedback to Town.It was decided to postpone the Trade Show until October or early November 2015 due to uncertainty of venue and time needed to advertise it properly.
It was motioned to change our next meeting to January 8, 2015 at 5:30 pm as a combined business and social meeting, approved but not unanimously. If officer slate not set at that time, postpone elections to February. Come to contribute input on possible officer candidates and vote!!!!
