| Discussion | Speaker Jason Raven spoke of the relationship between the North Yarmouth Events Committee (NYEC) and local businesses. He also shared the tentative schedule for Funday Sept 12th. FunDay is an annual event organized by the NYEC.
NYEC encourages local companies to support it’s events that, in turn, provides exposure for them within the community. Businesses can be anything from a Season Sponsor @ $300, have an ad in the program booklet ( sent to every North Yarmouth household) or volunteer or sponsor a specific event. NYEC is bringing back the popular Pet Look Alike Contest last held in 2006. NYBA member Liz Langham is sponsoring that event and is also judging that contest. NYEC will release more information about the day soon. Guest Steve Gordon recommended that the Water District be encouraged to have a table at a future FunDay, where they could possible offer well test kits for residents to test their water, and provide other educational material. He suggested other utility companies might want to have a table at future FunDay events. Darla asked Steve to again speak at NYBA meeting over the coming winter.
